Larry's Music and Sound offers all types of lessons including guitar, bass, piano, voice, drums, and violin. Lessons are normally 30 minutes per week and are $80 per month (depending on the instructor). Beginning, Intermediate & Advanced Levels. Derek is a master of sweep arpeggios and controlled speed. Influences include Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, and Yngwie Malmsteen. If you want to learn from a gifted shredder, Derek is your man!

On a live music stage most weekends sits a man behind a mechanical marvel of wood, levers, rods, pedals and strings. Gliding a steel bar with one hand and plucking the strings with the other he cajoles a most unique sound, almost effortlessly it seems, in time with the other musicians. The man at the helm of this fantastic instrument, the pedal steel guitar, is North Carolina musician Jim Ashton.

Laura Greene
Laura has over 20 years of experience performing and teaching. She studied piano, flute, guitar, and percussion at Lenoir-Rhyne University and graduated with a degree in music in December of 2007. Laura is also a youth music director at her church and is fluent in music styles ranging from classical to contemporary.

Rob Walmsley
Rob graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne College in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music, with a concentration in classical piano and jazz guitar, and has been teaching ever since. He has also played music actively in many local bands with style ranging form Jazz to Blues to Rock and continues to do so.
